Why we believe your Nurse should Wear a Face Mask During injectable Treatments

At Rewa Aesthetics, you will notice that we wear a face mask throughout your injectable treatment. This is not just part of our uniform. It is an important infection control measure that helps protect your skin while we work at close range.

During facial injectables, I am all up in your face!

During facial treatments, we are only centimeters away from your face. Normal breathing and talking release tiny droplets that are invisible to the eye. A fresh injection site, even one created for a cannula, is still an entry point for bacteria. Under a microscope thats a tunnel for bugs! Wearing a mask helps prevent any oral droplets from reaching the treatment area and lowers the possibility of unwanted bacteria coming into contact with the skin.

Facial filler procedures require precision, especially in areas such as the cheeks, lips, tear troughs and around the mouth. This close proximity makes a mask essential. It forms a clean barrier, supports best practice standards, and adds an extra layer of protection for both the client and the practitioner.

As a mum of three kids at school and daycare, it also helps reduce the chance of passing the dreaded cold and flu symptoms between us when we are working face to face.

Every step of infection control matters.

Although infections after dermal filler are quite rare, we treat them with great caution at Rewa Aesthetics. Every step of infection control matters. Simple measures such as wearing a mask, cleansing the skin thoroughly, and maintaining a clean and controlled environment all work together to keep those risks as low as possible.

In short, we believe a mask helps maintain a cleaner environment, supports a safer treatment process, and contributes to a smoother healing journey. If you ever have questions about the safety measures we use at Rewa Aesthetics, we are always happy to talk you through them.
